Kon Dimopoulos
Konstantin Dimopoulos was born in Port Said, Egypt, and immigrated to New Zealand in 1963. In 2001 his Pacific Grass was awarded the inaugural Wellington Civic Initiative for Sculpture. Dimopoulos moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2003 and since then has completed more than 20 public sculptures which are in collections in the USA, UAE, Australia and New Zealand;as well as for private collections. Dimopoulos also creates The Blue Trees, an ephemeral public artwork using the transformation of living trees to highlight global deforestation.
