Phil Dadson
Phil Dadson was born in Napier in 1946. He studied at Elam School of Fine Arts graduating with an Honours Diploma in Fine Arts in 1971.
He is an intermedia artist working in sound/performance, moving image and installation, known for his work as a composer, experimental instrument builder and performer. His innovative style of music/performance includes elements of theatre, sculpture and ritual.
He is an Arts Foundation Laureate and was awarded an NZOM in 2005 for his services to the arts.
