Christine Hellyar

Christine Hellyar was born in New Plymouth and grew up in the bush and on the beach and up the mountain.

She completed a degree at the University of Auckland Elam School of Fine Arts and later taught sculpture there. She has made temporary sculptures in the landscape since 1969 and more permanent ones since 1988.
